CAN or CAN-bus (Controller-Area Network) is a built-in vehicle information system which allows the microcontrollers of built-in vehicle devices to communicate with the vehicle’s onboard computer. Skybrake uses the CAN protocol in its devices designed for vehicles to make them even more efficient and functional.

Thanks to CAN-bus connection Skybrake car security systems feature functions like automatic vehicle recognition, where during device installation the device detects the vehicle make and model and adjusts its settings accordingly; or, for instance, the SmartBlink function which allows the car alarm system to control the turn signals and brake lights in case of an alarm.
