Double Dialogue Technology

Double Dialogue is a wireless data transmission technology which enables highly secure, interference-free and electronics friendly exchange of information between several system elements in a car.

High technological efficiency and safety is guaranteed by:

  • regular dialogue – bidirectional radio signal between all system elements located in a car;
  • data coding algorithm – the custom-made data coding principle ‘Double Dialogue’ is a patented Skybrake technology lab development;
  • 120 channels – data transmission is carried over one of the randomly selected 120 radio channels in the frequency range 2.400 GHz to 2.479 GHz;
  • the operating frequency of the dialogue is 2.4 GHz – very fast data transmission (up to 2 Mbit/s, and the duration of a single dialogue is 0.0003 sec.), low energy consumption and maximum protection against electronic cracking.

CAN Technology

CAN (Controller Area Network) is a data transmission technology under which two wires are used for a very fast and interference-free exchange of information between several control units located in a car. This technology was developed by Robert Bosch GmbH and it was first used in cars in the middle of 1990ies. Today this technology is used in almost every new car.

High efficiency of this technology is ensured by:

  • high-speed data transmission – the structure of this technology and its data encoding in particular enables data transfer and receipt at up to 1 Mbit/s;
  • possibility to use this technology at large distances – the distance between control units may be up to 500 meters which makes it possible to use this technology in aircraft, ships and trains;
  • large number of units can be interconnected (up to 2,000) – connected to a single CAN line at the same time can be 2,000 control units that can exchange information without interfering one another;
  • self-diagnostics – a unique self-diagnostics function which identifies data transmission errors and repeats the unsuccessful transmissions. This ensures high security against data loss.
