Autonams SIA

The Latvian company Autonams SIA, established in 1994, is the Latvian market leader for car protection and security systems. Along with car security services, the company's main fields of operation are development and productions of wireless technologies, car protection systems and data encryption systems. Their business currently employs 60 staff members. In 2007 Autonams registered a turnover of 3.1 Million LVL (4.4 Mio EUR). In 2008 the company turnover was 2.4 Million LVL (3.4 Mio EUR).

Fields of operation

  • Development and production of wireless technologies (SKYBRAKE) for vehicles

    • Autonams is a developer of innovative technologies and products. The company has over 10 years experience in the fields of vehicle security, RF-identification (RFID), GPS-positioning, wireless data transmission (2.4 GHz, GSM), data encryption and data coding for cars, motor bikes and agricultural machinery.

    SKYBRAKE. Since 1997, under this label Autonams is active in the global market for car security systems. The new product generation SKYBRAKE belongs to the most innovative wireless solutions in the field of car security and has gained international recognition.

    In 2007 Autonams launched a new production site for their SKYBRAKE products, thus reaching a 90% increase in production.

    In 2008 a long term development work on several new product series was completed. New in the market now: Fleet Management Systems SKYBRAKE F20 and Black Box, as well as the new SKYBRAKE Immobilizer with a higher security level of RF-identification.

  • Car security services

    • Autonams offers an extensive range of car security services: vehicle marking and installation of alarm systems and immobilizers. Since their start of operation Autonams has equipped over 40.000 vehicles with anti-theft systems and marked over 50.000 cars.

  • Fleet management (company Transporent)

    • In 2003 Autonams established their subsidiary company Transporent (www.transporent.com) that deals mainly with fleet management for corporate customers. Amongst others they service the vehicle fleets of some of the biggest companies of the Baltic region. Today Transporent is in charge of over 2.000 cars and co-operates with more than 200 suppliers. The company has 25 employees with experience in administration, maintenance and modernization of vehicle fleets. In year 2009 Transporent is among the leading Baltic companies of the branch. Autonams also offers installation of fleet management systems.

  • Car insurance (company Autonams Brokeri)

    • As the next logical step in their expansion, Autonams established in 2008 the company Autonams Brokeri. This company provides an extensive scope of insurance services, both for existing customers of Autonams and for numerous new customers. Autonams Brokeri’s high professionalism and their first-class product quality allow for a permanent acquisition of new customers.

The company is one of the most modern Latvian manufacturers, working permanently on new development, testing and further development of products. Ongoing investments are being made in the development and production of new SKYBRAKE products.

Quality standards and certification

The technologies and products developed by Autonams embody high standards of security and quality. This is testified by the Quality Standard ISO 9001-2000 as well as by the E-certificates of SKYBRAKE products. ISO 9001-2000 was implemented in the company in year 2000 in cooperation with the globally operating Bureau Veritas Quality International.

Global player

In the course of years Autonams has proven itself as a reliable partner in the international market. The SKYBRAKE products are being exported to Lithuania, Estonia, the Ukraine, Russia, France, Spain, Great Britain, Belgium, Croatia and other countries. In year 2008 Autonams produced over 43.000 SKYBRAKE units; 80% of them have been exported.

Fair & Exhibition - Autonams 2008-2009

During the last 12 months Autonams has successfully presented their newest SKYBRAKE car security and fleet management products in the major international trade fairs, amongst others in CES 2008 in USA, Zagreba Auto Show 2008 in Croatia and CeBit 2008 in Germany. With its participation in CeBit 2009, Autonams could convince its customers and partners of the innovative further development of SKYBRAKE products.
